MODERN, at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, offers cuisine from a contemporary and creative Jerusalem kitchen that makes a clear personal statement.The restaurant's design, its location inside the Israel Museum, and its view of the Valley of the Cross and the Knesset, all create a special Jerusalem atmosphere.

MODERN's dishes are based on one-hundred-year-old Jerusalem recipes that evolved outside the Old City walls. They have the warm flavors of longing for distant lands. Chef Yaniv Luzon picked apart traditional recipes and reassembled them, creating a modern menu with a local flavor. He uses only choice ingredients, based on what's in season.

Business Lunch Menu: From Sunday to Thursday, MODERN offers a business lunch that includes an appetizer and main course for the price of the appetizer.

Evening Menu: tuesdayonly. Starting from 6 p.m., MODERN dons its evening wear, including candlelight . It then offers a superb culinary experience with a rich menu offering a wide selection of dishes.

Winery Exhibits: Every Thursday evening from 7 p.m., there is a wine-tasting sponsored by one of the leading Israeli wineries. The guest winery offers samples, describes the wines, and offers its products at special prices.

Accompanying the Wine: Beef carpaccio, Jerusalem green peppers with market techina, and lamb kebab with tabouli salad.

Children's portions:  Schnitzel, just like at home, and pasta with tomato sauce. We encourage them to taste the adults' food, though!

The House Drink:  MODERN offers a wide variety of wines, including wines from special boutique wineries, to meet every guest's taste and budget.  We also serve beer, champagne, and spirits.

Never Dull: MODERN's menus vary; they are frequently tweaked and refreshed according to the season and what's available in the market. Ask about the daily specials.
